FOR YOUR TOOL
1. For Your Own Safety Read Instruction Manual
Before Operating tool
a) Wear eye protection.
b) Support workpiece with worktable.
c) Avoid kickback by sanding in accordance with
the directional arrows.
2. Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure you are
prepared to begin work before plugging in the
sander.
3. WARNING! People with pacemakers should
consult their physician(s) before using this
product. Electromagnetic fields in close
proximity to a heart pacemaker could cause
interference to or failure of the pacemaker.
In addition, people with pacemakers should
adhere to the following:
a) Avoid operating power tools alone.
b) Properly maintain and inspect all tools before
use to avoid electrical shock.
4. Never leave the sander unattended when it is
plugged into an electrical outlet. Turn off the
tool, and unplug it from its electrical outlet
before leaving.
5. WARNING! Some dust created by power
sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities, contain chemicals
known to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
a) Lead from lead-based paints;
b) Crystalline silica from bricks and cement or
other masonry products;
c) Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated
lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies,
depending on how often you do this type
of work. To reduce your exposure to these
chemicals:
a) Work in a well ventilated area
b) Work with approved safety equipment, such as
those dust masks that are specifically designed
to filter out microscopic particles.
6. Take caution as some woods contain
preservatives such as copper chromium
arsenate (CCA) which can be toxic. When
sanding these materials extra care should be
taken to avoid inhalation and minimize skin
contact.
INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING
BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition
of the Spindle Sander, check for loose screws,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked
or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any
other condition that may affect its safe operation.
If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the
problem corrected before further use. DO NOT USE
DAMAGED EQUIPMENT.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct
others who may use this tool. If someone borrows this
tool, make sure they have these instructions.
