WITH MODULATING THERMOSTAT
15.1 VFD Parameter Settin g s For Use With
Modulatin g Thermostats
The VFD parameters come w ith factory defa u lt set-
tings. The follo w ing parameter settings m u st be
changed for mod u lating thermostats. Settings can
only be altered w hen the p u mp motor is stopped.
Verify that there is po w er to the VFD (LCD display w ill
be on) and mod u lating thermostat is set to off.
To o v erride the rotary disconnect s w itch inside the
VFD enclos u re, t u rn the sq u are rod w ith a w rench to
the ON position. In order to be able to close the co v er
of the disconnect, the rods need to be t u rned back to
the OFF position.
15.1.1
To enter the PROGRAM mode and access the
parameters, press the Mode b
u tton. This w ill acti v ate
the PASSWORD prompt (if the pass w ord has not
been disabled).
Display reads "00"
Upper right decimal point blinks
15.1.2
Use the arro w b u ttons to scroll to the pass w ord v al u e
(the factory set pass w ord is 225).
Press Mode to enter pass w ord.
Once the correct pass w ord v al u e is entered, the dis-
play w ill read "P01", w hich indicates that the
PROGRAM mode has been accessed at the begin-
ning of the parameter men
u (P01 is the first
parameter).
NOTE: If the display flashes "Er", the pass w ord w as
incorrect, and the process to enter the pass w ord
m u st be repeated.
15.1.3 Use the arro w b u ttons to scroll to the desired
parameter n u mber. For ne w parameter settings See
Page 67, Section 14.2 .
15.1.4 Once the desired parameter n u mber is fo u nd:
Press Mode to display present parameter setting
(example setting is 20.0).
Upper right decimal point blinks.
Use arro w b u ttons to change setting.
Press Mode to store ne w setting and exit the
program mode.
15.1.5 To chan g e another parameter, press the
Mode key a g ain to re-enter the PROGRAM mode
(the parameter menu will be accessed at the
parameter that was last viewed or chan
g ed
before exitin g ).
If the Mode key is pressed w ithin t w o min u tes of exit-
ing the PROGRAM mode, the pass w ord is not
req u ired to access the parameters. After t w o min u tes,
the pass w ord m u st be entered in order to access the
parameters again.
