9.2 General Ventin g Re q uirements Model EP-100,
EP-200 and EP-300 Series Pumps
This heater m u st be v ented in accordance w ith the
r u les contained in this man u al and w ith the follo w ing
national codes and any state, pro v incial or local
codes w hich may apply:
United States: Refer to National F u el Gas Code
NFPA 54/ANSI Z223.1 - latest re v ision.
Canada: Refer to Nat u ral Gas and Propane
Installation Code CSA B149.1 - latest re v ision.
Any portion of v ent pipe passing thro u gh a
comb u stible w all m u st ha v e an appro v ed thimble
to conform w ith the abo v e listed codes.
Vent pipe m u st be sloped do w n w ard a w ay from the
p u mp ¼'' e v ery 10' (3 m).
The bottom of the v ent or air intake terminal shall not
be located less than 1

Vent lengths are allo w ed as follo w s:
Seal all pipe joints w ith high temperat u re silicone
sealant in the v ent pipe. Ins u lation and additional
sealing meas u res w ill be req u ired.
Optional heat exchanger lengths are considered as
v ent length for length determination.
S u btract 15' (4.6 m) of maxim u m allo w ed v ent or
o u tside air d u ct length per v ent elbo w if more than
three are u sed.
