SECTION 12: CONTROL METHODS
There are se v eral methods of controlling CRV-Series
systems. The options are as follo w s:
12.1 CORAYVAC ® Heatin g Control
The CORAYVAC ® Heating Control is an electronic
control panel designed to control CRV-Series heating
systems. The CORAYVAC
® Heating Control w iring is
sho w n on Page 57, Figure 40 through Page 59,
Figure 43
and in the CORAYVAC
®
Heating Control
Installation Man u al (P/N 10091601NA).
The CORAYVAC® Heating Control can be u sed to
control an EP-100 or EP-201 p u mp from the control
panel. Other p u mps s u ch as the EP-301 and 3 Ø
models may be controlled in conj u nction w ith a relay
or motor starter. The CORAYVAC ® Heating Control
can control u p to fo u r zones of b u rners and u p to t w o
v ac uu m p u mps.
The electrical circ u it is a 120 Vac (20 A) s u pply.
The o u tp u t for the thermostat is 24 Vac.
A CORAYVAC

Heating Control operated system has
t w o min u tes post p u rge p u mp operation to
completely exha u st prod u cts of comb u stion from the
system. A CORAYVAC ® Heating Control pro v ides
indication of po w er to the p u mp and zones and
indicates the stat u s of the press u re s w itch w ith lights.
The CORAYVAC

Heating Control is ETL listed in
accordance w ith UL873 – Standard for Temperat u re
Indicating and Reg u lating Eq u ipment.

Modulatin g Heatin g Control

The CORAYVAC
®
Mod u lating Heating Control is a
micro- processor based control package designed for
mod
u lating control of CRV-Series heaters based on
o u tdoor temperat u res. The controls offer f u ll
mod u lation bet w een 60% and 100% of system
maxim u m rated inp u t.
This controller is capable of gi v ing control o u tp u ts to
t w o p u mps and fo u r heating zones. The controller
also feat u res inp u ts w hich are u sed for indoor and
o u tdoor signal condition monitoring.
System stat u s and settings are v ie w ed and altered
from a to u chscreen. For complete installation details,

12.3 CORAYVAC ® Modulatin g Thermostat
For a CORAYVAC ® Mod u lating system, combine a
mod u lating thermostat, a thermostat relay (P/N
90436300) and any one of the existing ROBERTS
GORDON
® VFD assemblies. The res u lt w ill be a one
p u mp, one zone CORAYVAC ® Mod u lating system.
The system w ill mod u late based on the temperat u re
sensed at the mod u lating thermostat, not o u tdoor
