SECTION 2: INSTALLER RESPONSIBILITY
The installer is responsible for the follo
w
ing:
• To ens

re the system is designed in accordance
w
ith the parameters of the CRVSF-Series
Design
Man
u
al (P/N 127502NA).
• To pro
v
ide sched
u
le 40 heat exchanger radiant
pipe and fittings. Pipe: ASTM A53 (Latest edition)
grade B ERW black steel pipe TNC 4", both ends
threaded to 4" NPT conforming to ANSI/ASME
B1.20.1 (latest edition). Fittings: 150 lb malleable
black iron 4", both ends threaded to 4" NPT
conforming to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 (latest
edition).
• To install the heater, as

ell as the gas and
electrical s
u
pplies, in accordance
w
ith applicable
specifications and codes. Roberts-Gordon LLC
recommends the installer contact a local b
u
ilding
Inspector or fire marshal for g
u
idance.
• To install all threaded components
w
ith a
minim
u
m thread engagement of three threads.
Apply s
u
fficient amo
u
nt of high temperat
u
re, anti-
seize pipe compo
u
nd (P/N 91308001 or
eq
u
i
v
alent) to threads prior to engagement. Hot
compo
u
nd may drip from threads. Protect

rfaces
u
nderneath heater d

ring first start-

p.

peeling off the backing of the adhesi

e strips on the

rface and position the tag on a

CRVSF-Series heater (e.g. thermostat or controller).

er. For an immediate sol
u
tion, yo

affix this copy on the

all near the heater.

corrosive chemicals.
Refer to appropriate Material Safety Data
Sheets (MSDS).
Failure to follow these instructions can result
in product damage.
