Mod u lating system. The system w ill
mod u late based on the temperat u re sensed at the
mod u lating thermostat, not o u tdoor temperat u re. The
mod u lating controls offer many feat u res like 7 day
programmability, fo u r time periods per day (2
occ u pied, 2 u nocc u pied), temporary temperat u re
setpoint o v erride, keypad locko u t sec u rity and more.
Remote sensors or o u tdoor sensors are optional, not
req u ired. Remote sensors w ill allo w for zone
temperat u re a v eraging, if req u ired.
13.3.1 Analo g Si g nal Modulatin g Thermostat
A programmable, 7-day programming, mod u lating
thermostat can be installed to s u pply an analog (4-
20mA) or (2-10Vdc w ith 500 Ohm resistor) control
signal to dictate the speed of the p u mp. For

®
pro v ides
net w orking capability in a LonWorks ® system. With
comm u nications port r u nning at 78 kilobits per
second (kbs), this thermostat can be config u red to
perform a v ariety of acti v ities in w hich data is sent or
recei v ed v ia LonWorks ® . Information that can be
shared, v ie w ed and modified w ith the net w ork
incl u des:
• C u rrent year, month, day, ho u r, min u te, second.
• System Mode.
• Space Temperat
u re
• O u tdoor air temperat u re
• C u rrent setpoint
• Occ u pied/Unocc u pied sched u le commands.

13.3.3 Analo g si g nal Modulatin g with BACnet ®
Pro g rammable Thermostat
If BACnet ® comm u nication is req u ired, a BACnet ®
enabled mod u lating thermostat can be installed to
s u pply an analog o u tp u t (0-10VDC) signal control to
dictate the speed of the p u mp. For thermostat w iring,

This thermostat is a flexible, w all-mo u nted stand-
alone control w ith combined controller/sensor.
BACnet ® connections allo w integral peer to peer
BACnet ® MS/TP LAN net w ork comm u nications w ith
config u rable ba u d rates and can easily integrate w ith
a b u ilding a u tomation system.
MS/TP Wirin g
Connect the -A terminal in parallel w ith all other -A
terminals on the net w ork and the +B terminal in
parallel w ith other +B terminals. Connect the shield
of cable (Belden cable #82760 or eq u i v alent).
Connect the cable shield to a good earth gro u nd at
one end only.
