Solenoid valve at the output OUT 2
Function:
the solenoid valve closes if an excessive water hardness is measured 3 times consecutively or if a malfunction
exists. In this way, the water supply to the consumers can be interrupted. Thereafter, no further analyses are
conducted. A deletion must take place by hand – or be subsequently programmed as in this example – by an
external switch (switch station/control room) and the valve re-opened in this manner.
Programming:
5.2 = PS2
= Solenoid valve closes permanently after an activation
5.4 = PS2 | = Activation of the solenoid valve through operation of the relay
6.5 = No
= No further analyses on activation of the solenoid valve
6.6 = 3 *
= Activation of the solenoid valve on the third successive overrun of the limit
6.7 = RF -
= No activation on occurrence of the message "Refill indicator"

Floating fault signal contact at OUT 3
Function:
In the event of an instrument malfunction, including the instrument being switched off, a fault message is sent
to a control room. A fault message does not occur if the water hardness is exceeded.
Programming:
5.3 = MEL = Signal relay
5.4 = MEL - = Activation of the fault message when the relay is released (inoperative)
6.9 = RF - = No activation on occurrence of the message " Refill indicator"
NF | = Activation on occurrence of the message " Indicator deficient Analysis stop"
ZL | = Activation on occurrence of the message "Blank value too low"
VH | = Activation on occurrence of the message "Internal measurement too high"
VL | = Activation on occurrence of the message "Internal measurement too low"
Flow monitor at IN 1
Function:
If water is extracted from the treatment plant, the contact of the flow monitor closes. Several successive make
times are added. As soon as the sum of the make times is greater than 60 seconds, a new analysis is started.
Programming:
3.1 = Stat
= Function "Start analysis"
3.3 = START | = Analysis start when contact closed
4.1 = 60s
= Delay time for an analysis start = 60 seconds
