7.6 Mounting
Check for any damage or missing components after receipt of the electric cylinder. The electric
cylinder will be delivered ready for operation (without the internal control).
The following instructions must be observed during installation:
•
When using / mounting a clevis mounting or pin, only use the screws supplied.
•
Screws that are too long will be destroyed when mounting the end cap or gear cover.
•
The grooves for the M6 DIN 562 square nut are not suitable for fixing the cylinder.
•
When using / mounting a hinge or clevis head, make sure that the heads are secured correctly
using the scope of delivery nuts.
•
Perform a test run.
7.6.1 Securing and installation options
A square nut
2
can be inserted into the lateral groove on the
electric cylinder, which is sealed by a cover profile as
standard.
The fastening bolts for the square nuts 2 are tightened to a
torque of 8 Nm.
If necessary, accessory parts can be subsequently connected
on both sides, e.g. magnet switch
1
. Magnets are already
integrated into the cylinder as standard.
Lock nuts
3
, which are inserted into the connecting plate,
produce variable connection dimensions ranging from 37.5
to 40.5 mm. As a result, a multitude of fixing elements from
the pneumatics industry can be connected.
The fastening bolts of lock nuts
3
are tightened with a
torque of 10Nm.
Non observance of this procedure will lead to damage to the electric cylinder! This
nullifies the guarantee!
With regard to the installation position of the components, take care to avoid crushing
and shear points, especially when taking into consideration any future applications.
