(B) When using a high-pressure pipe
If a high-pressure pipe is used, connect an air release
valve (SV-1000) to the tip of the pipe.
a) Loosen the set screw of the air release valve by one turn.
b) Tighten the lever of the directional control valve.
c)
Caution
Hydraulic oil will flow out of the discharge holes of air release valve. Use
a cloth or other suitable material to prevent dispersion of the oil.
d) Inch the motor.
e) When the hydraulic oil comes out of the discharge holes of the air release valve, the air-
bleeding is completed.
f) Tighten the set screw of the air release valve.
* For the other models, perform the same procedures by manipulating the directional control
valve.
7 Maintenance and Inspection
(1) Inspections before operation
(A)
Caution
Turn off power, and check the cable for connections to power supply.
Tighten the connection if it’s loosen.
(B) Check that the hydraulic oil is proper in amount by visually checking the oil level gauge with
the cylinder piston fully retracted. If the oil amount is low, add hydraulic oil to the upper-limit
line.
See (4) (C) "Adding hydraulic oil" on the following page.
(C) Activate the motor with no load and keep it running for longer than 5 minutes to check if it
makes no unusual sound or produce no abnormal vibration.
(D) Actuate the cylinder by operating the directional control valve. Increase the pressure, if
possible, to check that no abnormality is observed.
(E) Check that no oil is leaking from the piping or machine. If oil leakage is found, investigate
the cause of it and repair it.
(F) Follow the other instructions listed in "Safety Cautions for Use"
(2) Inspections during operation
Perform the following inspections. If any abnormality is observed, stop the operation
immediately and take measures against the problem.
(A) Check that the valves operate properly and the pressure increases normally.
(B) Check that no oil is leaking from the piping or machine.
(C) Check that no unusual sound, vibration, or odor is observed.
(D) Check that the temperature of the hydraulic oil is between 5 and 60°C.
(3) Inspections after operation
(A) Check that the power is turned off.
(B) Check the pump for oil leaks and other abnormalities. If any abnormality is observed,
investigate the cause of it and take measures against it.
Warning
Do not
place hands or other body parts near areas where hydraulic oil is
being dispersed as high pressure oil may penetrate the skin and cause serious injury.
