1.3 Operating Modes
The Tracer AV has three modes of operation.
Normal (Primary) mode
Normal mode is the default mode of the Tracer AV. The indicator displays gross or net weights as required, using the LCD/
to indicate scale status and the type of weight value displayed. Once
configuration is complete and a legal seal is affixed, this is the primary mode in which the Tracer AV can operate.
Setup mode
Most of the procedures described in this manual require the Tracer AV to be in setup mode, including configuration and
calibration.
To enter setup mode, remove the setup switch access screw on the Tracer AV (See
). Once the screw
is removed, use a small screwdriver or pen tip to press the setup switch. The display changes to show the word
DEFCAL
.
Test mode
Test mode provides a number of diagnostic functions for the Tracer AV. Like setup mode, test mode is entered using the
setup switch. See
Test mode is intended for factory use only.
1.4 Display and Keypad
shows the Tracer AV LCD display with annunciators and keypad. In setup mode, the keys are used to navigate
through menus, select digits within numeric values and increment/decrement values. See
