INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Opentheshut-offvalveintheCOLDwaterInletline

tocheckthewaterflowthroughthewaterheater.

 Closetheshut-offvalveandremove,clean,and

replacethewaterfilter.

NOTICES:

•BesuretoconnecttheCOLDwaterinletandthe

HOTwateroutletasshownonthewaterheater.If

reversed,thewaterheaterwillnotfunction.

•TheflowrateofHOTwatermayvarywhenmorethan

twofaucets(appliances,fixtures,etc.)arebeing

usedsimultaneously.

•ThepipesMUSTbecompletelydrainable.IftheHOT

waterfaucetsarelocatedatapointhigherthanthe

waterheater,placeadrainvalveatthelowestpoint.

Itisrecommendedtouseunionsandflexiblecopper

connectionsattheCOLDandHOTwaterlines.They

allowthewaterheatertobedisconnectedeasilyfor

servicing.
Usethefollowingguidelineswhenconnecting

theHOTWATEROUTLET:

•Connectionsbetweenthewaterheaterandpoint(s)

ofuseshouldbeasshortaspossible.

•Localcodesshallgovernthepipingusedforwater

connections.

•Toconserveenergyandtopreventfreezing,insulate

bothCOLDandHOTwatersupplylines.Donot

insulatedrainlineorpressure-reliefvalve.
