Care Instructions

CARING FOR YOUR WATER HEATER

CAUTION:

Evenwhendrainedproperly,a

smallamountofwaterwillremaininthewaterheater.

Incoldweatherconditions,thiswatercanfreeze.

Ifthishappens,allowthedefrostprotectiononthe

waterheateratleast30minutestomeltthefrozen

water.Thewaterheaterwillnotworkproperlyuntil

thiswateristhawed.
Toputthewaterheaterbackinservice:

Disconnectdrainhose.Makesurethedrainvalveis

closed.

Reinstallthewaterfilterinthebaseofthecold

waterinletline.

Openthewatershut-offvalve.

Openallhotwaterfaucetsandletrununtilallair

has been purged from the lines.

Pluginthepowercordorreconnectthepower

supply at the circuit breaker box.

Openthegasshut-offvalve(s).

PressthePOWERON/OFFbuttononthecontrol

panel to restart the unit.
