Thermostat (Procedure 31)
1.
Switch off power at GPO and unplug power cord from GPO.
2. Remove the front cover (Refer to procedure 1).
3. Disconnect the drain line from the T&PR valve by removing the two quick connect clips
that retain the T&PR drain line. Gently pull the drain line clear of the T&PR valve to
disengage.
4. Disconnect the multi-pin connector (blue and brown wires) of the incoming power supply.
5. Disconnect the earth wire from the earth nest at bottom left hand side of heater cabinet
6. Undo the packing straps and remove the front polystyrene insulation to expose the hot
water storage tank.
7. Disconnect the red element wires from terminals 2 & 4 of the thermostat.
8. Disconnect the blue and brown wires from terminals 1 & 3 of the thermostat.
9. Slide thermostat out from under thermostat bracket.
10. Reassemble in the reverse order of above.
Hot Water Storage Tank Replacement (Procedure 32)
1.
Switch off power at GPO, unplug power cord from GPO and isolate the water
supply to the water heater.
2. Remove the front cover, hot water storage tank, transfer valve, hot water outlet tee,
T&PR valve, element, and thermostat. Refer to procedures 1, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 & 31.
3. Remove hot water storage tank from rear insulation and replace.
4. Reassemble in reverse order of above.
5. Check for water leaks.
