Transformer: (Procedure 25)
1.
Isolate power supply.
2. Remove the front cover, LED display, control PCB, power supply PCB and PGFR. Refer
to procedures 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10.
3. Disconnect primary transformer windings (blue & brown wires) from middle of power
supply PCB (Terminal C).
4. Disconnect the secondary windings from the top left hand side of power supply PCB
(Terminal E).
5. Remove the four screws retaining the transformer to the back of the water heater cabinet.
6. Lift the transformer out of heater cabinet.
7. Reassemble in reverse order of above.
Hot Water Storage Tank Removal (Procedure 26)
1.
Switch off power at GPO and unplug power cord from GPO.
2. Remove the front cover. Refer to procedure 1.
3. Reduce the temperature of the water stored in the hot water storage tank by opening a
hot tap or the T&PR relief for approx 30 seconds until water runs cold.
4. Isolate the water supply to the water heater.
5. Relieve pressure from the water heater by easing the T&PR valve. Leave valve open.
6. Disconnect the transfer pipe from the inlet of the hot water storage tank. At this point the
contents of the 2.6L hot water storage tank will be relieved through this inlet fitting.
7. Disconnect the hot water outlet pipe.
8. Disconnect the T&PR relief valve drain line from the underside of the heater cabinet.
9. Remove the quick connect clip from the T&PR drain line where the drain line exits the
heater cabinet.
10. Remove the 2 screws from the underside of the heater cabinet that retain the T&PR relief
drain connection.
11. Remove the 2 screws from the underside of the heater cabinet that retain the hot water
outlet connection.
12. Remove the 2 screws from the underside of the heater cabinet that retain the inlet
connection to the hot water storage tank.
13. Disconnect the multi-pin connector (blue and brown wires) of the incoming power supply.
14. Disconnect the earth wire from the earth nest at bottom left hand side of heater cabinet.
15. Remove the small piece of insulation situated above the hot water storage tank.
16. Lift complete storage tank assembly up and then slide forward to lift clear of the heater
cabinet.
17. Reassemble in reverse order of above. Ensure water supply is turned on and all air
purged from the unit before energising unit to ensure no damage occurs to the heating
element or heat exchanger.
