6. Maintenance, care, disposal
NOTICE
Should you detect any defects during the inspection, please contact the dealer/
manufacturer whether further use of RESTUBE is possible.
>>>
Never attempt to repair RESTUBE by yourself!
Buoy intact?
Open the pocket and unfold the buoy. Inflate the buoy firmly using the
oral valve and leave inflated for about 16 hours. If the buoy is still firmly inflated after
this time, it is airtight.
Does the mouthpiece work?
Remove the cap of the oral valve. Plug the back of the
cap into the oral valve. The oral valve must close completely after the cap is pressed
down and pulled out. Put the cap back on.
Are pocket and straps free from damage?
Check pocket, straps, buckle
and seams for any damages. The material should not have holes and the tear
strength should not be impaired (e.g., due to frequent, strong sunlight).
Is the CO2 cartridge unimpaired?
Replace empty, corroded, or rusty gas cartridges
with a new original RESTUBE-CO2-Cartridge.
NOTICE
Do not place RESTUBE on heater! Do not dry RESTUBE in direct sunlight! Observe
care symbols on waist strap label. Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol or
solvents! Functional parts (valve, trigger, thread for CO2 cartridge) must be free from
dirt before next use!
•
Close oral valve.
•
Rinse buoy and bag with clear water.
•
Clean with mild commercial detergent or mild soapy water.
•
Rinse again with clear water.
•
Dry buoy unfolded and hanging.
>>>
For better drying, open pocket.
NOTICE
Protect RESTUBE against direct sunlight. Protect RESTUBE against temperatures above
60°C. RESTUBE must be completely dry before storing. Do not dry in the microwave
or in the oven.
With normal use and Central European climate, the lifespan is 5 years. With special
operating conditions (e.g., long period of use, use in other climate zones, or frequent
use >1 time per week or frequent release), the product must be serviced more often
and the lifespan may shorten accordingly.
RESTUBE swim is intended for about 40 releases.
WARNING
CO2 cartridges can only be disposed of as residual waste if empty! RESTUBE pocket
and straps may be disposed of as residual waste.
