If the repeater is not replaced immediately with another unit, make sure to weather protect the
open-ended cables.
5.4 Battery Maintenance and Replacement
5.4.1 Battery Description
The type of battery used for MCU has a major influence on battery lifetime. Please therefore
only use 6.0V Nickel-Metal Hydride Cylindrical Cell (including seven 1.2V stack-up cell units);
others can have appreciably shorter life.

5.4.3 Caution
Batteries should be charged prior to use
For charging methods please referred to our technical handbook
Use the correct charger for Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries.
Do not reverse charge batteries.
Do not subject batteries to adverse condition such as extreme temperature, deep cycling and
excessive over charge/over discharge.
Avoid batteries being used in an airtight compartment. Ventilation should be provided inside the
battery compartment; otherwise batteries may generate hydrogen gas, which could cause an
explosion if exposed to an ignition source..
