5. COMPRESSION-SLEEVE FITTINGS
5.1 Fitting Scope
The compression-sleeve system is a cold-expansion PEXa
fi
tting system that is available in polymer and lead-free (LF) brass and
is assembled with a specially designed PEXa compression sleeve. The
fi
tting is designed speci
fi
cally for use with RAUPEX pipe and must
only be assembled with the compression-sleeve tools.
fi
ttings for residential
fi
re sprinkler applications are
available in 3/4, to 2 in. sizes and are listed for use with RAUPEX
white UV shield pipe (3/4 to 2 in.) manufactured in accordance with
ASTM F876.
