d) Attaching the Telescopic Aerial to the Transmitter
If the telescopic aerial is included separately, insert it into the corresponding opening on the transmitter from above
and screw it tight by hand. Do not use any force when screwing the aerial in; do not use any tools!
e) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries into the Transmitter
Slide out the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the transmitter and insert 8 new batteries or 8 fully charged
rechargeable batteries AA/mignon type into the battery compartment. Observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-),
see label on the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment.
f) Switching on the Transmitter
First pull out the telescopic aerial all the way; do not apply any force, and do not bend the telescopic aerial.
Place the ON /OFF switch onto the "I" position. The red "BATT" LED lights up.
If the LED flashes, the batteries or accumulators in the transmitter are weak and should be exchanged for
new ones as fast as possible.
If the LED does not light up, check that the batteries/rechargeable batteries are properly inserted into the
battery compartment, and that the batteries/rechargeable batteries are fully charged.
g) Connecting the Driving Battery to the Speed Controller
Before connecting the driving battery to the speed controller, activate the transmitter (see chapter 9. d), e) and 9. f).
Also check that the speed controller is switched off
§
Off On
¨
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable surface (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels
Now connect the driving battery to the speed controller.
