10. Trimming Function at the Transmitter
a) Steering Trimming at the Front Axle
The rocker button “DT1” (12) is used to set the steering trimming of the front axle. Operation of the rocker button shows
“CH1 TRM.ST” at the top left of the display. Set trimming so that the vehicle drives straight forwards when the steering
wheel is in the centre position.
b) Steering Trimming at the Rear Axle
The rocker button “DT4” (8) is used to set the steering trimming of the rear axle. Set trimming so that the vehicle drives
straight forwards when the steering wheel is in the centre position.
c) Trimming for Neutral Position of the Speed Controller
The rocker button “DT2” (13) sets the trimming for the neutral position for forwards/reverse driving so that the vehicle
stops when the lever for the driving function (10) is released.
d) Dual-Rate Setting for Steering
With the dual-rate setting (rocker button “DT3”), the servo path (the maximum possible steering deflection) for the two
steering servos can be changed. This affects both sides of the servo path.
We recommend leaving the value in the maximum position, because the turn radios for the vehicle in-
creases otherwise, which is not sensible for a crawler.
In “normal” quick model vehicles, the dual rate setting is used for better steering characteristics of the
vehicle at fast driving because the steering deflection of the servo decreases (at the same wheel turning
angle).
