8.5.3 Signal cable
Always use shielded cables for the signal connections.
The shield must have a coverage of at least 80% of the cable length. The
shield can be connected directly to the structure of the converter by means
of the fixings provided
(see Figure 30) . For the ground connection use the
inlet provided on the terminal block. The shield is connected by means of
the dedicated screws.

For signal connections negligible lengths less than 5 m it is always advisable to
only connect the shield at one end in order to avoid potentially critical loops
for the propagation of disturbances. If the length of the cable is > 5 m connect
the shield at both ends to avoid the propagation of disturbances.

Passage through the cable glands provided.
Insertion with quick connector in terminal block with ferrule.
Connection of the shield on dedicated screw provided on the structure of
the product.
Lock the cable glands to guarantee ingress protection rating IP55.
