8.4.6 Ground connection
The frequency converter must be correctly connected to the ground. To
increase immunity to interference always provide a large contact surface for
the ground connections (reduced contact resistance).
The ground connection must always be wired in a star configuration, so
that all the parasitic disturbances and currents are conveyed to a safe point
at zero potential.

The connection of both the shield and the ground wire of the motor cable
must be made at both ends, that is, at the inverter end (using the dedicated
fixings) and at the motor end. The shield must have a coverage of at least
80% of the cable’s length and it must be connected directly to the structure
by means of the screws provided (see Figure 28) . For the ground connection
use the inlet provided on the terminal block.
