8.  Manual Decent Crank

 - Check to be sure it is present and securely 

attached (See Figure 2-5)

 

9.  Platform and Entry Gate

 - Check to be sure that the mounting pins are 

not loose; platform railing is undamaged; platform retaining pin is 
functioning properly; self closing slide gates are functioning properly; 
no cracks or visible corrosion present. (See Figure 2-6)
