The counterweights on the base of the machine allow operation up to an
average wind speed of 6.5 m/s. It is the operator’s responsibility to accurately
measure the wind speed as necessary to ensure operation working limits of
6.5 m/s or less when outdoors. Note: Measuring wind speed while working
indoors is not required.
Measuring Wind Speed
1. Remove the anemometer from the
protective case. (See Fig 6-1)
2. Turn on: Press “MODE” button for 2
seconds. (Fig 6-2)
3. Test proper function by blowing gently into
propeller. Be sure the propeller spins freely,
the battery is charged, and wind speed
readout changes as you blow.
4. Hold the anemometer in the direction of the
wind taking care not to obstruct or diminish
the actual wind flow.
5. Be sure anemometer is set to measure in
m/s and to measure MAX air velocity.
Refer to Fig 6-3.
6. Measure the wind speed in meters per
second. (Fig 6-2)
7. Turn off: Press “MODE” + “SET” buttons
at the same time. (Fig 6-2)
8. Return to protective case.
Press “MODE” button more than 3 seconds
until “m/s” starts to blink. Press “SET”
button to select desired air velocity unit.
To confirm the unit, press “MODE” button.
For setting MAX/AVG/CU mode, press
“SET” button again and again until CU/
MAX/AVG blink, then press “MODE” button
to confirm.
1). The setting will be stored when you
turn off the unit. But if you change the
battery, the setting will go back to the
factory preset.
2). Unit of Air velocity: m/s, Km/hr, ft/min,
Knots, mph.
3). Measuring mode: CU: current air
velocity, MAX: max air velocity,
AVG: Average Air Velocity
