Here you will find the Sungrow SH10RT hybrid inverter. All the
connections to it are already made. In this area you will also find
the terminal blocks that connect the comms cable that goes to
the meter you will install in the switch board.
Note: there is a PV isolator built into the side of the Sungrow
inverter (red switch in image at right). This is not accessible when
the inverter is installed in the SunRise system and is left in the ON
position.
If it is necessary to remove the inverter, this is easily
accomplished by popping out the fan above the inverter (by
pushing in the clips holding it in place) to make space.
Middle area
This area is where up to 9 x 3.55kWh HV Pylontech
batteries are installed. A complete set will have two stacks
of batteries with five (5) on the left and four (4) on the
right.
The top slot on the right contains the BMU shown at left.
The BMU is already installed in the SunRise and manages
the connection & communication between the battery
modules and the inverter.
Note: that the battery modules are usually shipped
separately. They are connected in a daisy-chain fashion,
with the DC power cables going from one module to the
next in a series connection. Each module is also connected
to the next with a short RJ45 comms cable.
