CAMERA CANNOT BE PAIRED TO REDMOTE
•
Ensure REDmote display indicates IDLE before attempting to pair the camera to the REDmote.
•
Ensure the REDmote is detached from the rear of the camera body and powered on.
•
Ensure the REDmote wireless in turned on.
•
Ensure camera does not display REDLINK Upgrade Required.
REDLINK UPGRADE REQUIRED
If after upgrading your EPIC to v1.6.xx and upgrading your REDmote to v771, your REDmote will not
wirelessly connect to your EPIC and "REDLINK upgrade required, please contact RED!" is displayed on
the camera, then your EPIC and REDmote may need to be sent back to RED for evaluation/updating.
Please save a .LOG file and send to RED Technical Support to diagnose and confirm next steps.
NEW FAN AVAILABLE
If after upgrading your EPIC to v1.6.20 or higher series firmware, you receive a "New fan available,
please contact RED" notification on the camera, please contact RED technical support for assistance.
Press OK to use your camera as normal - the message will appear each time the camera is powered up.
Pressing OK, HIDE will hide the message when the camera is powered up, however, be mindful that until
the fan is changed, the camera temperature should be monitored. If the fan is not replaced as RED
recommends and the camera is damaged by overheating, the camera warranty will be voided.
Once the updated fan has been installed and the camera is powered up, the message will continue to
appear. Press OK, then go to SECONDARY MENUS > SETTINGS > MAINTENANCE > REDISCOVER
and perform the rediscover procedure to clear the message.
