Using the flat-blade screwdriver, gently pry up on

the cartridge reset chip tabs, slowly working your

way along the entire length of the tab (figure 22-2).

When you have removed the tab on one side repeat

the process on the other side (figure 22-3).

Step 23: Remove the toner cartridge reset chip

Once the plastic tabs have been removed, the

cartridge reset chip is accessible. Using the cartridge

body as a fulcrum slide the flat-blade screwdriver

under the reset chip to pry it up (figure 23-1).
