ST5000 Plus Sterndrive & Hydraulic Autopilots Owner’s Handbook

Rod end

Fitting cable to Mercruiser

Secure the rod end on the adaptor pin with the split pin supplied.

Fit the Universal I/O Drive assembly in a suitable, safe position,
remote from the engine, using the clamps and tie-wraps provided.

D4535-1

Slowly turn the steering system from hard over to hard over.

Ensure that the steering system operates freely and there is no
contact between the cable and any part of the engine.
