Function of safety equipment
The safety equipment is designed to protect your health and life.
•
Before working with the machine, ensure that the safety equipment is functioning and not
damaged.
•
Only operate the machine when the safety equipment is functional.
Designation
Function
Protective grid in hopper
Prevents body parts from being caught by the rotating agitator.
Prevents body parts from being cut off by the metering slide.
Prevents faults during spreading caused by lumps in the spreading
material, large stones or other large objects (screening effect).
Protective grid lock
Prevents the protective grid in the hopper from being opened
unintentionally.
Engages mechanically if protective grid is closed properly.
Can only be opened with a tool.
Deflecting device and
safety equipment
The deflecting device and safety equipment prevents the ejection of
fertilizer to the front (direction of tractor/workplace).
The deflecting device and safety equipment prevents anything from
being grabbed by rotating spreading discs from the front and reduces
the risk from the side and the rear.
Universal drive shaft guard Prevents body parts and clothing from being pulled into the rotating
universal drive shaft.

Warning and instruction stickers
Various warning and instruction stickers are attached to the machine (for the position at the machine,
please refer to
3.10.1 Position of safety equipment as well as warning and instruction stickers
).
The warning and instruction stickers are components of the machine. They must not be removed or
modified.

Replace missing or illegible warning and instruction stickers immediately.
If new components are installed during repairs, the same warning and instruction stickers that were on
the original parts must be placed on the new parts.
The correct warning and instruction stickers can be obtained from the spare parts service.
