17. 8 .7 Propane Switch Kit
The propane s w itch kit pro v ides the end u ser w ith the
ability to r u n the air handler on either nat u ral or
propane gas. When the end u ser w ants to s w itch
from nat u ral to propane gas, a s w itch (field w ired and
pro v ided by others) w ill open contacts po w ering the
mod u lating reg u lating v al v e. Po w er w ill be sent
thro u gh the propane s w itch kit w here the signal w ill
be red u ced and then sent to the mod u lating
reg u lating v al v e. This w ill ca u se the mod u lating
reg u lating v al v e to open less for the propane,
allo w ing for the same temperat u re rise.
17. 8 . 8 Auxiliary Relay
An a u xiliary relay may be added to an air handler for
either an interlock or a c u stomer defined p u rpose.
Refer to the option sheet s u pplied w ith the air handler
to indicate w hether the relay is w ired for an intended
p u rpose or left u n w ired for a f u t u re interface. Each
relay w ill be do u ble pole do u ble thro w (DPDT) type.
Maxim u m s w itching capacity on the normally open
contact is 8A, and for the booth light relay, P/N
80916.2, 15A.
17. 8 .9 Smoke Detector
A smoke detector interlock allo w s for the air handler
to operate based on signal inp u t from the fire alarm.

ADJUSTMENTS:
1) MAKE NORMAL HIGH AND LOW FIRE ADJUSTMENTS WITH
SWITCH CLOSED AS OUTLINED IN THE MANUAL
2) OPEN SWITCH, REMOVE THE BRASS CAP FROM RHEOSTAT
AND ADJUST TO REDUCE HIGH FIRE SETTING, REPLACE CAP.
