Maintenance
• After cleaning, all parts must be lubricated according to the maintenance schedule.
• Check nuts and screws are secure according to the maintenance schedule.
• When topping up with hydraulic oil, maximum cleanliness is required.
• Check hydraulic hoses and tubes acc. to the maintenance schedule for damage and
ageing , replace if necessary.
• The electrical system must be checked for damage and function acc. to the maintenance
schedule.
• If the machine is not to be used for more than 2 months, we would recommend closing
the fuel valve while the engine is running and waiting until the engine stops. It is
essential that no fuel remains in the carburettor for long periods of time.
• Always make sure that the battery is well charged, if necessary charge the batteries with
the battery charger. Charging 12 V 0.6 A with an automatic mains charger.
Note
It is assumed that you have read and understood the chapters "First things first" and "Safe
operation".
Caution
The machine may suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over or run
them over.
• Cleaning and maintenance work and the removal of safety equipment should only be
carried out when the engine is turned off. Disconnect the spark plug socket.
• Replace defective parts.
• The hydraulic system may be pressurised.
• When searching for leakages, suitable protection must be used (goggles and gloves).
• The machine must be cleaned thoroughly before any work is undertaken on the
hydraulic system. Maximum cleanliness is required.
• Repairs in the hydrostat must only be carried out by an authorised Rapid dealer.
