5.1
Adjusting the handlebar position
For ergonomic working with the machine, the handlebar height must be adjusted before
commencing work.
Tilting the handlebar may be helpful when working along hedges or buildings.
5.2
Starting the engine
Prerequisites
• Bring the travel drive rotary grip into 0 position.
• Open the fuel valve.
• Actuate the choke (only for cold starts).
• Turn accelerator lever to start position (I).
Starting
procedure
• Sharply pull the reversing starter evenly until the engine starts running. Then let the cord
slowly wind up again
or
Turn the starter key to position "2" (max. 3 sec.). Release the key as soon as the engine
starts running, it automatically returns to position "1" (in conjunction with electric starter).
• As soon as the engine starts running, slowly push the choke back to its original position
and bring the engine to the desired speed using the accelerator lever.
• Machine is ready for travel.
5.3
Turning off the engine
Note
During stationary operation, the PTO shaft drive can be driven without actuating the dead
man handle. If the dead man handle is actuated during stationary operation, the PTO shaft
drive deactivates.
Note
It is assumed that you have read and understood the chapters "First things first" and "Safe
operation".
Note
Adhere to the instructions in the enclosed operating instructions of the engine manufacturer.
