Figure 29: Cleaning the knife
For cleaning the knife, please proceed as follows:
1.
Spray isopropanol onto the carrier plate and onto the blade of
the knife.
2.
Crumple some paper towel and use it to gently swipe from one
side of the knife to the other (see fig. on the left). Repeat this
process with fresh paper towels soaked in isopropanol until the
respective side of the knife is completely clean. Take care not to
cut yourself on the knife’s sharp blade during cleaning! Never
rub quickly or against the blade!
3.
Turn the knife over and clean the other side. Take care not to
cut yourself on the knife’s sharp blade during cleaning! Never
rub quickly or against the blade!
You can also clean the knife
with a brush or small brush and isopropanol as an option.
4.
Place the knife back in the holder of the machine and press it
down until it is fully engaged.
Take note of the side markings
(left/right) on the knife carrier plate while doing so.
5.
Insert the knife protection device back into the machine and
push it back as far as it will go to close the knife protection
device.
6.
Take the cleaned collection basket and place it in the mounting.

Close the upper hood.
