Unpacking the Machine
Figure 7: Unpacking the machine
Recommendation: Use a team of two to unpack the machine.
Please proceed as follows to unpack the machine:
1.
Ensure there is enough free space around the transport box.
2.
First remove the strapping/lashing straps and then remove the
protective film from the transport box by use of a cutter.
3.
Open the box lid.
4.
Remove the top retaining brackets on one of the side walls.
Then slide the side wall out of the bracket.
5.
Remove the individual packages next to the machine. These
contain the print accessories.
6.
Now remove the remaining retaining brackets and side walls.
7.
Lower the ramp to the ground. (see fig. on the left)
8.
Remove the remaining strapping/lashing straps around the
machine with a cutter and then remove the remaining packing
material (wooden slats, foam blanks) from the top of the
machine.
9.
Then carefully tilt the machine slightly to one side to remove the
foam blank between the machine floor and squared lengths of
wood. Repeat the same process on the other side of the
machine.
10.
Loosen both arresters on the front two castors on the machine.
11.
Now move the machine slowly and carefully down the ramp
onto the ground.
Note: Risk of tilting! Secure the machine from
the front as you move it so that you can slow it down if
necessary.
12.
Remove the protective film from the machine.
13.
Keep the packaging components in a safe place for later return.
(see note below)
14.
Before starting the machine, make sure that the emergency stop
button is not activated. If the emergency stop button was
activated during transport, pull and rotate the button out of the
pressed position in the arrow direction indicated.
15.
Now set the machine up.
