45 Sportfish Series

Stove

The double-burner electric stove gets its
power from 115 volts AC shore hookup or
auxiliary generator only. It is protected by a
circuit breaker in the AC master panel
marked STOVE.

Trim Tabs

The two trim tabs, located on the transom,
help to correct the attitude and control your
boat. The tabs are controlled individually by
rocker-type switches located on the dash
panel (see Section 3). A resettable circuit
breaker located on the DC panel, protects
the circuit from an overload. Push rocker
switches in only half second intervals to
avoid over correction.

The trim tab pump is located in the aft bilge
compartment (see Section 2). The trim tab
system uses Type A Dextron II automatic
transmission fluid.

Refer to “Suggested Maneuvering
Techniques” in Section 5 of this manual for
information on trimming your boat Also
check your Skipper’s Kit for further informa-
tion on the trim tab system.

Windlass System

The system provides the means of control-
ling the Winch via a reversing solenoid
which is actuated by self centering
UP/DOWN toggle type remote control switch
or foot switches.

●

The system is readied for use by pushing
the circuit breaker/isolator button “ON”.

●

The power indicator light on the Remote
Control panel will glow when “ON”.

●

The winch can now be operated by the
UP/DOWN switch on the Remote Control
Panel or by the foot switches.

WARNING

When using the Winch DO NOT
SWITCH IMMEDIATELY FROM ONE
DIRECTION TO THE OTHER WITH-
OUT WAITING FOR THE WIND-
LASS TO STOP AS THIS COULD
DAMAGE THE WINDLASS. Abuse
is not covered by Warranty.

WARNING

The Breaker/Isolator Panel pro-
vides protection for the main
power supply and is also a means
to isolate the circuit. The circuit
breaker provides protection for the
motor from excessive overload
current and short circuit. It does
not provide protection against
excessive heat build up due to
prolonged instant operation or
repeated operation under overload
conditions. Make sure you give
the motor time to cool (6-8 min-
utes). Abuse is not covered by
Warranty.
