10.2 iTN2100-8FX 

10.2.1 Appearance and functions 

Appearance 

Function 

 

The iTN2100-8FX is an 8-way 100 Mbit/s Ethernet optical signal access card on the 
iTN2100. 

 

Aggregate eight ways of Ethernet optical signals into one way of GE signals and then 
send them to the switching card through the backplane. Meanwhile, it sends clock 
signals sent from the switching card to the peer device (such as transceiver). 

 

Provide eight SFP optical interfaces and each of them can transmit one way of Ethernet 
optical signals. 

 

Support cooperation with dual-switching card on the iTN2100. 

 

Provide the debugging interface. 

 

Support querying and viewing manufacturing information 

 

Support management and maintenance of the SFP optical modules. 

 

Support configuration and management of Ethernet optical interfaces. 

 

Support RCLINK (a remote device management protocol specially developed by 
Raisecom) management of remote devices connected to the downlink of the Ethernet 
optical interfaces. 

 

Support remote management of Raisecom transceivers (which support remote 
management). 

 

Support remote management through 802.3ah Ethernet OAM. 

 

Support layer 2 switching functions, including: 

 

Support MAC address automatical learning; support management of the MAC address 
table, including adding, deleting, and querying MAC address table entries; support 
setting MAC address aging time; support setting the number of MAC addresses learnt 
by the interface. 

 

Support ultra long frame. 

 

Support storm control over broadcast packets, unknown multicast packets, and DLE 
packets. 

 

Support port mirroring. You can configure the ingress and egress directions 
independently. 

 

Support rate limiting on ports. You can limit the rate on ingress and egress directions 
independently. 

 

Support 802.1Q VLAN and 4094 concurrent VLANs. 

 

Support QinQ. 

 

Support Ethernet loopback detection. 

 

Support Ethernet link aggregation. 

 

Support layer 2 transparent transmission. 

 

Support QoS. 

 

Support Access Control List (ACL). 

 

Support layer 2 SLA. 

 

Support RMON. 

 

Support CFM and Y.1731. 

 

Support saving and recovering configurations of a card, and preconfigurations of a card.
