Basic Operation
Manual Volume Control
Toadjustthevolumeofallsoundsmade
bythisengine, turnthemastervolume
control knob located under the tender
clockwise to increase the volume and
counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
Horn/Whistle
- To soundthe
whistle, firmly pressthe
Horn/Whistle button. The whistle
will soundforaslongasyou
continue to depressthebutton. It
will stop when you release the
button.
Bell
- To sound the bell,firmly
press and release the Bell
button. To turn the belloff,
press and release the Bell button
again. The bell will continue to
ring from the time youturniton
until you press and release the
button again to turn it off.
Direction
Your train is
programmedtostartinneutral.
The train will alwayscycle
neutral-forward-neutral-reverse
with each press and release of the
directionbutton. The engine i s
programmedtorestartinneutral
each time the track voltage is
turned off for 25seconds or more.
Emergency Stop
Press the
Emergency Stopbuttonandall
trains onthetrack controlled b y
the remote will stopuntilyou
reapply voltage. This is aneasy
way to shut downyourtrainsat
the endofasessionortostop
suddenlythetrain'spath
becomes obstructed.
Operation Buttons
Throttle Up
Throttle up the power to your trackbypressingthetopendoftheThrottle
Control Rocker Switch firmly for about 5 seconds, until theengine's headlight and
lighted cars burn bright. Thenputtheengineintomotionbyfirmlypressingthe
Directionbutton(holditforapproximately1second)on your remote once. If the engine
does not begin to move as soon as you firmly press the Direction button,youmaynot
have sent enough voltage to the track to makethetrainmove. Press the throttle u p f o r a
few more seconds until the train begins t o move. To increase or decrease track voltage,
and therefore train speed,pressthethrottlecontrolrockerswitch. Pressingthetopendof
the throttle will increase voltageandspeed. Pressing the bottomendofthethrottlewill
decrease voltage and speed. The engine will maintain thespeedyousetafteryourelease
the throttle untilyoupressitagaintochangethevoltageandspeed.
