CHANGING THE
SECURITY CODE
The phone uses a security code to
prevent other cordless phone users
from using your phone line while the
handset is off the base. Normally,
setting the code is not necessary. If a
handset is lost or damaged, you must
change the security code then
register all the handsets again. You
must also perform these steps if the
handset registration fails.
Follow these steps to change the
security code.
1. Unplug the AC Adapter.
2. While holding
PAGE
, reconnect
the AC adapter. The IN USE and
CHARGE/VOICE MAIL
indicators flash.
3. Keep holding
PAGE
for 10
seconds. The flashing IN USE
indicator means that the security
code was changed.
After changing the security code, be
sure to reregister all the handsets
before use.
RESETTING THE
HANDSET
You can clear/erase all the selections
and settings in the handset. After
resetting, you must change the
security code on the base and
reregister all the handsets before use.

Proceed to register the handsets.
Note: When you reset the handset all
stored information (including memory
numbers) is erased and all the
settings revert to default value.
