REGISTERING AN
ADDITIONAL HANDSET
You can add up to three additional
handsets (Cat. No. 43-3527) to your
system. Follow these steps to register
a handset.
1. Install the battery pack and fully
charge it.

2. While the phone is not in use,
including the intercom, remove
the existing handset from the
base.
3. Hold
PAGE
on the base until the
CHARGE/VOICE MAIL indicator
starts flashing.
4. While the indicator is flashing,
place the new handset on the
base. The handset beeps to
indicate registration is complete.
If registration is not done
properly,
<W_bJhoW]W_d <W_bJhoW]W_d <W_bJhoW]W_d <W_bJhoW]W_d
appears.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4.
The current ringer volume setting and
the handset ID number appear on the
added handset’s display. Note the ID
number, since it is required to
communicate among the handsets.
The base can accept up to four
handsets. If you try to register a fifth
handset,
<W_bJhoW]W_d <W_bJhoW]W_d <W_bJhoW]W_d <W_bJhoW]W_d
appears. This
can also happen when you try to re-
register an existing handset without
clearing the base’s memory since the
base recognizes it as fifth handset.
Should any of the handsets have a
registration problem, change the
base’s security code and reregister all
the handsets. See “Additional
Information” on Page 27.

MAKING AND
RECEIVING CALLS
To make a call, lift the handset and
press
TALK
. Talk and the call’s
elapsed time appear, and the base’s
IN USE indicator lights. If you are
using more than one handset,

appears on the other handset’s
display. Dial the number. The number
appears on the handset as you dial.
To end a call, place the handset on
the base or press
END
.
You can also dial the number before
you press
TALK
. If you make a
mistake, press or to move the
cursor to the incorrect entry then
