Caller ID Operation
DIALING NUMBERS
FROM A CALLER ID
RECORD
To dial a local number stored in a
Caller ID record, recall the record and
press
TALK .
If you have not stored a local area
code (see “Storing Your Area Code”
on Page 14), the phone dials the full
10 digits, including the area code.
If you have stored your local area
code, the phone dials 7 digits if the
area code in the number is the same
as the one you stored.
To add or delete the area code or add
1 before dialing, recall the record,
then repeatedly press
HOLD/FORMAT
until the required number format
appears. For example, if you stored
area code 817 and you received a
call from 817-555-1234, the following
appears as you repeatedly press
HOLD/FORMAT

If a Caller ID record does not contain
a phone number (if it was blocked by
the caller, for example) you cannot
dial from that record.
STORING A CALLER ID
RECORD IN MEMORY
Follow these steps to store the name
and number from a Caller ID record
into a memory location.
1. Recall the record you want to
store. Press HOLD/FORMAT until
the desired number format
appears.
2. Press MEMORY . The memory list
appears.
3. Press or to choose an
empty memory location or the
one that you want to store over,
then press
MENU/ENTER
.
If the selected location is empty, the
phone beeps to confirm that it stored
the number, then the Caller ID record
appears.
If a record exists in the selected
location,
