The next step in getting familiar with your new system is to review the various components that make up the
overall data logger system. The drawing on the following page illustrates a typical data logger system using a
Sportsman data logger. We have labeled the various components on the drawing. Each of the components is
described below.

Digital Inputs
Main Power/Digital Input Wiring Harness (PWR/TACH/REC INPUT):
The main power/digital input harness is a wiring harness assembly used to provide power and connect the
digital inputs engine rpm, and record button to the data logger. The main power/digital input wiring
harness connects to the digital input connector marked "PWR/TACH/REC " on the Sportsman.
Secondary/Digital Input Wiring Harness (DS RPM/12 VOLT EVENT):
The secondary digital input harness is a wiring harness assembly used to connect the digital inputs
driveshaft rpm, and 12 volt event to the data logger. The secondary/digital input wiring harness connects
to the digital input connector marked "DS RPM/12 VOLT EVENT" on the Sportsman.
