Higher torque possible with keyway.
For the design, the torque to be transmitted between the devices is determined with all design guarantees. With this value, the coupling
size is selected according to the rated torque. The hubs of the EK2 have a clamping hub connection to the shaft.
The transferable torques of the clamping hub connection depending on the shaft and hub bore diameter must be considered by the
user.
An overloaded clamping hub connection leads to the formation of sparks with explosion. The
maximum torque to be transmitted from the clamping hub connection must be observed.
R+W EK2 elastomer couplings have an H7 fit. The fit play of the shaft/hub connection must be in the tolerance of 0.01 to 0.05mm.
Elastomer couplings compensate lateral, axial and angular shaft offsets. In the table you will find maximum permissible guide values for
the individual types of relocation. They provide safety to compensate for operational influences such as thermal expansion and/or
foundation reductions.
