6.8 Special Functions - “Save RDS” - “Restore RDS”
These two functions are active in certain cards only, use them on devices that do
not have this function has no effect.
All cards save data to buffered RAM, some cards allow you to use the button
“
Save RDS
” to photograph the RDS static data present on the buffered RAM in a
dedicated flash bank memory.
All cards that have a valid stock image of RDS data on FLASH memory, by using
the “
Restore RDS
” can copy it on the buffered RAM.
Pay attention to “
Save RDS
” function, because from second time that it is used
causes a reset of the card with a brief interruption of output signals. The use of
this function also must not exceed the physical characteristics of
10000 cycles

The “
Restore RDS
” function has no use limits but every time you call resets the
ODA buffer and therefore causes the loss of TMC, IH, TDC, EWS, RT+ messages
loaded into RAM and waiting to be transmitted.
