Getting Started
Up to four cordless handsets may be used with your base station. The four handsets
include the one handset that comes with the base and up to three additional
handsets. The handset that comes with the base is pre-registered to work with the
base. You must register additional handsets so that they will also work with your
base. For instructions on registering additional handsets, see Chapter 7 on Page 31
of this Owner’s Manual.
Any combination of two handsets (or handset and base speakerphone) may be
engaged in calls at the same time. For example, Handset 2 and the base
speakerphone can talk to an outside caller while Handset 1 and Handset 4 talk on an
intercom call.
To access features on the handset, use the dedicated hard keys (
Talk
,
Flash
,
End
,
Menu
,
and
Int
) or the soft keys located directly under the display. The function of a
soft key is defined by the text or icon that appears in the display directly above the
soft key. For example, first press the hard key labeled
Menu
. The display will look like the example shown
here. Pressing the soft key below [

] or [
6
] will scroll
through the menu options. The dashed line in the list of
options indicates the end of a menu list. Pressing the
soft key below
OK
will select the highlighted option.
Pressing the soft key below [
] will return the menu to the previous level. Pressing
the hard key labeled
End
will exit all the way out of the menus.
To access features of the base speakerphone, use the dedicated hard keys on the
base:
Redial
,
Intcm
(Intercom),
Hold
,
Flash
,
Mute
,
Spkr
(Speakerphone), and
Vol
(Speakerphone Volume).
Answering Calls
There are two ways to answer an incoming call.
Handset
Press the
Talk
key.
Speakerphone
Press the
Spkr
key.
