To prevent the potentially negative effects of excessive inrush current on the system, Quantum Corporation 

recommends selecting a PDU that can stagger the startup sequence of the system components.

Important: 

If a PDU that cannot stagger the startup sequence is used, ensure that 

the PDU is rated to support the inrush current created by a simultaneous startup.

Safety

The PDU used shall comply with the safety standards of the country that rack is installed in.

Electromagnetic Compatibility

The PDU used shall comply with the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) agency of the country that the 

rack is installed in.
