I’m using a USB wireless keyboard, but it does not
work.

Make sure it is a 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard and not a
Bluetooth keyboard

4. When I send using a keyboard or a paddle, the rig is

sending the characters, but I don’t see the sent
characters on the SideKar screen, regardless of the Alt-
E (echo characters) setting.

Make sure the KX3 firmware is at MCU version 2.19 or
later.
