change it to the desired number. This might happen if
you thought you worked someone, but really didn’t
(busted QSO).
In addition to the
#
for the serial number you may also enter the
other station’s call and have it sent out automatically as part of
a message. See
section for details.
The other station’s call will be erased when the QSO is logged.
Dxpedition mode
When running an event such as a SOTA activation, activating a
national park, or any other time where you are calling CQ and
having stations answer you, it is sometimes desirable to keep
things moving along quickly and maximize the QSO rate.
SideKar version 2.6.0 and later offers the DXpediton mode of
operating, which reduces 2 specific time delays:
1.
When entering the call of another station using
Alt-C,
the “Back to Real Time” message on the screen is
eliminated. This allows you to enter the call and
immediately press a function key to send a message,
such as “KF0UR TU ur 599 CO”, to respond to
someone quickly.
2.
When saving a log entry, there is a screen to inform you
the save was successful. The time “Saving QSO xx” is
reduced, so after logging you can very quickly send the
next message
, such as “TU de KF0UR QRZ”.
To access the Dxpedition mode, press
Alt-A
until you see “Log:
Dxpedition”.
