– Continuous Measurement
Autostart
In basic configuration you can set the measurement mode the LM_ 100 will automatically start with,
after power supply has been connected.
External Trigger
In External Trigger Mode
the sensor performs only
one single measurement.
Measurement is activated
by an external signal,
coming from a controller or
from another sensor, as for
example a light barrier.
Set External Trigger if you
want measurement to be
activated
only by an
external signal.
Continuous Measurement
In
Continuous
Measurement mode the
sensor
measures out
continually the whole
possible distance. Before
each measurement, the
LM_ 100 performs a new
alignment to the target so
that the highest possible
accuracy is achieved. For
this reason continuous
measurement mode is
slower than Continuous
Tracking.
Continuous Tracking
Also in Continuous Tracking the
LM_ 100 measures distance
continually. However, in this
mode alignment to the target
occurs automatically only every 6
sec. Therefore measurement in
this mode is faster than in
continuous measurement, but it
cannot react quickly to distance
jumps.
