4. Oil & Lubricant Recommendations

Do not allow chain to run dry.

Lubricant dramatically increases the life of the load chain. Weekly lubrication and cleaning are satisfactory, but under hot,

dirty, and extreme conditions, it may be necessary to clean the chain at least once a day and lubricate it several times

between cleanings. Apply sufficient lubricant to obtain natural runoff and full coverage, especially in interlink areas.

Suspension pins should be lubricated at least twice per year for normal usage; more frequently for heavier use or severe

conditions.

Failure to keep the load chain clean and

Lubricate the load chain daily or
weekly, depending on the service
severity.
In corrosive environments, the load
chain needs to be lubricated more
frequently.
Always use lubricant oil equivalent to
ISO VG46 or VG68.
