Travel Stop Adjustment
Do not turn out the travel stops completely when the actuator is pressurized.
When adjusting the travel stops and the actuator is still pressurized, the travel stops can
be “shot” away when completely turned out.
ϱ͘ϭ͘ϭ
Double-Acting Actuators
ϭ͘
Operate valve/actuator assembly to the required "Closed" position.
Ϯ͘
Remove air supply.
ϯ͘
Slacken locknut on the “closed” stop (2).
Figure 14
ϰ͘
Turn the “closed” stop clockwise to reduce or counterclockwise to increase the
travel. Consult chapter 5.1.3 (angular displacement of the pinion), to define
how far the limit stop must be turned in or out.
ϱ͘
Tighten the lock nut.
ϲ͘
Connect air and cycle the actuator to check that the position is correct. If
not repeat from 2.
ϳ͘
Remove air supply.
ϴ͘
For adjusting the open position repeat steps 1 to 7, but now for the open
position and “open” stop (1).
ϱ͘ϭ͘Ϯ
Spring-Return Actuators
ϭ͘
Connect air supply to the A port. Actuator will move to the open position.
Ϯ͘
Slacken locknut on the “closed” stop (2).
