Step Eleven:
Insert your XM Radio into the ProTechT water-resistant marine housing.
• Press the latch on the bottom of the ProTechT water-resistant marine housing to
release the front door.
• Place your XM Radio into the cradle so that it mates firmly with the connector at the
bottom of the ProTechT water-resistant marine housing (see Figure #17).
• If you’re using a Delphi Roady XT XM Radio, install the included adapter first (see
Figure #18).
• If you’re using a Pioneer Inno or Samsung Helix XM2go® radio, you will need to insert
an XM2go® Sound System Adapter (sold separately) inside the ProTechT water-
resistant marine housing cradle.
Note:
The Inno or Helix will continue to charge their
internal battery the entire time that they are in the ProTechT dock. If you are storing
the boat for a long period you will want to remove the Inno and Helix from the dock.
• The included rubber gray colored spacers are each embossed with a corresponding
radio name. After inserting your radio, choose the spacer for your radio and insert the
spacer into the bracket at the top and back inside of the ProTechT water-resistant marine
housing.
Special
Note:
For the
Onyx
radio, use the rubber gray colored spacer (part S) labelled
XPRESS
, and add the additional black adhesive spacer (part E) to the rubber gray spacer
as follows:
1. Orient the rubber gray XPRESS spacer and black adhesive spacer as shown.
2. Peel the backing from off the adhesive, on the
underside of the black spacer and discard.
3. Orient the black spacer so that the lip at the back
of the black spacer just overhangs the back of the
rubber gray spacer, and adhere the black spacer
to the rubber gray spacer as shown.
4. Insert the spacer into the bracket at the top
and back inside of the ProTechT water-resistant
marine housing.
